Really enjoyed doing a workshop on “Coping With Caregiver Criticism” at St Paul Home with other healthcare professionals.

One of my favorite things about being an author at She Writes Press is the opportunity to work with incredible women authors and support their work at book launches and events Here I am with Michelle Cox, Rita Dragonnette, Nancy Chadwick Burke, and Tammy Letherer at Women and Children First Bookstore. Fantastic bookstore. I had my author book launch for Role Reversal Here as well.

I really enjoyed talking with healthcare professionals about “Identifying Health Risks for Seniors”. Great discussion.

 

Very excited to discuss writing memoirs like Role Reversal. I am really looking forward to participating in this great AAUW event at the Harold Washington Library on October 10, 2018 at 7-9pm. A panel of She Writes Press authors will be discussing our memoir writing keeping it “All in The Family” The Impact in Novels and Memoirs. Come join this lively discussion with Michelle Cox moderating, and Chicagoland authors Linda Gartz, Barbara Starknemon and Francie Arenson.

I will be doing a presentation on How to Start the Conversation on Caregiving and How to Build a Support Network on May 1 at Epiphany United Church of Christ at 2008 Bradley Place in Chicago at 7pm. There will be a Question and Answer time period and Books can be purchased here. $5 donation requested.

Honored to be asked to speak at #BlogHer17 conference in Orlando, Florida. Fantastic conference full of inspirational women including Chelsea Clinton and Serena Williams. I spoke on a panel about the importance of Caregivers taking care of themselves.

 

Fulfilling a dream to sell my book at the famous Printers Row Book Festival in Chicago 2017.

The University of Iowa. I received my Masters in Social Work Degree here. I was thrilled to return to teach a class on how to begin the caregiver conversation with loved ones.
